Food Incredible place! Everything, from the atmosphere to the service, left the most positive impressions. The food was excellent--each dish was prepared with love and skill. I will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant with top-notch service and amazing cuisine. A huge thank you for a wonderful evening!

I ate here for an early dinner with my husband and my 10 month old baby. The decor is so cute and kind of fancy, but it also felt family friendly. They have high chairs if you need them. Our server was excited and proud to tell us about her culture and the food they make. I highly recommend trying the compote drink as well as the many flavored vodkas. The vodkas had interesting flavors like horseradish and black currant. The serving sizes are very large. Perfect for sharing with your family. I can definitely see us visiting again with a large group or booking for family events in the future.

Great service, delicious food some of the best Russian/ukranian cuisine. Highly recommend.

Very quaint restaurant, great food and the service was good, it is a little pricey, but definitely a good dining experience.

Great food and service reasonable prices, plenty of parking in the back Will be coming back soon

Food here was amazing and we only got to the appetizers part! We can't wait to go back for the main courses of course. If you are a vodka fan, this is the place for you!!! Authentically all delicious food and vodkas!! We had our Russian friend take us here and she knew exactly what to order for all of our palates enjoyment. The beef tongue surprisingly was so tender and great flavor, just don't look at it. Nothing fried here so it is great for the conscious eater but be prepared they pickle a lot here so it's great for you. Outdoor and indoor seating available and I literally felt like I was eating at an invitation to come over and dine at their home. Ambiance was very traditional with all the Russian dolls above the fireplace even! Great service, good food and damn fine infusion of Vodkas!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the staff, the ambience, the food, exceptional service, and the culture of the customers around us. Definitely a go to. The schnitzel was super moist, the peroshki stellar! Golubtsy was a table favorite the katchapuri was exceptional. The horseradish vodka was a great add on.

Great service in a cozy and homely restaurant! First time trying Ukrainian food and definitely won't be my last! Our server was so helpful in explaining each dish and what to order. My favorite was the borscht and delicious chicken shashlik!! I'm excited to come back with guests soon :)

Location 4: On Ventura Blvd in Tarzana, CA in the SFV. Metered self-parking is available but hard to find. I understand they have a private parking lot as well which I have not used. There is no Valet parking. Venue 4: Nice and inviting set up with a large indoor area including a bar, as well as cozy garden seating. Service 4: Our server was nice, polite and attentive. No complaints whatsoever. Food 4: Large menu of Eastern European fare, with emphasis on Ukrainian cuisine. For appetizers, we had the Olivier Salad, the Herring Traktir, and the Beef Tongue. For main courses, we had Beef Stroganoff, the Chicken Kiev, the Chicken Cutlets, and the Chicken Schnitzel. For dessert, we had the Syrniki (cheese pancakes with sour cream and strawberry preserves). All were delicious and highly recommended. Food prices were reasonable. Drinks 4: Modest selection of wines. Some unique and interesting Ukrainian beverages such as Kvass, Mors, and Compote as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee. They also have a large selection of home-made infused vodkas that looked very interesting, but I did not get a chance to try. We had some wine and soft drinks. Drink prices were reasonable also. The Last Word 4: A pleasant and unique culinary experience, different from your typical San Fernando Valley outings. I enjoyed my visit and will be going back again!

I'm so grateful for my neighbors introducing this restaurant to me. The ambiance is great and the staff and food are phenomenal. Anastasia is also a delight and so helpful. The drinks: I'm not normally a drink person, but the people I went with are and the portions are so huge, we all shared. We first tried two beers (pictured). They were good. Light and refreshing. Then we ordered the strawberry compote. That was too sweet on its own, but great when diluted with water. I also tried a shot of pickle vodka. Amazing! The food: I've gone twice in a week the food is that good. We've ordered chicken blintzes, herring with potatoes, traditional borscht, cold borscht, potato vareniki, sauerkraut vareniki, chicken kiev, lamb chops, and beef shishlik. I loved both borscht dishes and cannot decide between the two. The cold dish made me nostalgic for my time in Poland. It was perfection. The warm borscht was perfectly comforting. It'd be great on a cold day. Of the appetizers, I liked the potato vareniki the best. If you want to up the game, add the creamy mushroom sauce. It's so buttery and mouthwatering. The sauerkraut was the perfect medley of sweet onions and cabbage. I enjoyed the blintzes, but didn't care much for the chicken. That's a me thing though. The herring also reminded me of Poland, but the stand-out of that dish was the garlic potatoes. I could eat nothing but those potatoes. Again, I'm not a chicken person, so I wasn't a fan of the Chicken Kiev. There was definitely a volcano of butter. The mashed potatoes that came with it were the best. They were so smooth. My two favorite dishes were the lamb chops and beef shishlik. The meat of the two dishes was phenomenal! They were cooked perfectly, so tender and juicy; they just melted in my mouth. I have left this place both visits in such a great mood. I cannot wait to come back.
